INNOVA Project Consulting has initiated a partnership with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Brasov, through which the two organizations intend to support companies with an average number of 500 employees in Brasov County and not only, in complying with the legal requirement to prepare and publish a Non-financial Report or Statement starting with financial year 2019, following the modification of the accounting regulations. The partnership will facilitate the access of the respective companies to information in the field of non-financial reporting so that they can develop and / or strengthen a responsible business model.

In this context, the first joint action of the two partners is to organize the first applied course on non-financial reporting in Brasov. The course will take place on November 26-27, 2019 in Brasov, at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Brasov, Str. Mihail Kogalniceanu no. 18-20, bl. 1K, sc. C-D.

The course is open to all those interested, regardless of department or function, the participation at the course of all the persons who have or will have a role in the non-financial reporting process being useful from the perspective of the complexity of the reporting process and the fact that it reveals the social, economic and environmental performance of a company.

The initiative aims to deepen the concept of non-financial reporting, to understand the process steps that must be followed for preparing an efficient non-financial reporting and the international standards that can be used in this regard.

The course will be held during two days in which the information will be offered applied, the discussions being made on concrete examples of reports. With an activity of 6 years on the Romanian market, the INNOVA Project Consulting trainers have concrete experience in non-financial and sustainability reporting based on which they will address, among others, the following topics:

  • The reporting standard applicable to the participating companies
  • The steps of the reporting process and the resources you need
  • Identifying and prioritizing the stakeholders of the company
  • The materiality matrix and the methodology for its realization
  • Collection, verification and validation of non-financial information
  • 5 international examples of good practice in your sector of activity.
